I learn't that you should put fenses aroud the edg of a bank to make shaw that the sediment doesn't do in the watter. I also new that invertebrates have no back bone.

Holidays

In the first week of the holidays I went to see G-Force with Sam then I got to have a sleep over there.When we got to his house we played sooccer agaisted his dad Peter.we won 1 to 0.I was our goalie. the next day my mum picked me up. she told me i'm going to daniel's house for three nights sleep.First we went to the bumper boats.Daniel and I charged each other the we went to the camp mini golf Kim came last Daniel came seccond and I came first my score was 61 Daniel got 85 and Kim got 105.After that we got a big ice-cream each.I hope I can go back again.

Children's Rights

Every child deserves the same rights as us but some children don’t have those rights. I think that all children should have a right to medical care. At Nelson Central School we get bandages when we get cut.

We have been learning about the children of Kroo Bay. Kroo Bay is a slum community in Africa. In Kroo Bay children don’t have enough medicine to go around. Some children get sick and die from diahorrea. One child out of four would die before they were five. There is a clinic that was just made but there is still not enough medicine for everyone.

In Kroo Bay they also don’t have good materials to make their houses. They just use anything they can find in the river like old scrap metal. When it rains their houses leak ans sometimes it rains so much the houses flood. The children have to walk through the Crocodile River to get to some places.

Save the Children helps poor children in countries all around the world. I would like to but a mosquito net from the wish list. It costs $13. It could save a lot of lives.

So please tell your friends and family about how the mosquito net from the wish list can help a lot of childen.

Making a Fossil

Fossils are hard to find and very precious from the dinosaur times.

You will need:

Clay,

A small container,

Shells,

Plaster of Paris,

Gold spray paint,

Thin metal wire,

Black paint,

An old cloth.

This is how you make them.

First you push the clay into the container. Make it as thick as 1½ cms. Now you flatten it until it’s smooth.

Next you need to push the shells and make a pattern. Then pull them out again.

When you are happy with your shapes, you pour Plaster of Paris on until it’s about 1½ cm deep. You might need an adult to help with this.

After that you need to make a loop out of the little piece of wire. Twist it and leave a little loop on the

end. Put it into the Plaster of Paris.

Later on, after a week or so, or when it has

gone as hard as it could be, carefully pull

the model out slowly. When it comes out pull all the brown clay off.

Now you’re nearly there. All you need is to get gold spray paint and spray your fossil gold and shiny. When it dries, paint your fossil black and quickly rub it off.

Finally, hang it anywhere you want.

Killer Dragon

A long long time ago there was a dragon called Alven. He was in a ferocious mood because he was in a horrible and disgraceful town. When he saw his dad, he wanted to show off so he burnt all the town down. First he burnt down a hot dog stand. Everyone was running in circles. Once he had finished with the first dirty place he went to the next place. Two people were having a picnic with their new baby. They were throwing rubbish on the ground. The dragon got mad so he swooped down and ate the woman. The man ran away and hid behind a tree. Later on when it was dark the man stepped out of the tree and said,
“How dare you eat my girl friend you beast! I have to teach you a painful lesson you’ll never forget. Now you will be my slave. Spit out my girl friend.”
So the dragon spat her out.
“It’s like death acid in there.”
“I beg your pardon,” said the dragon.
“Good manners,” said the man.
The lady said, “As soon as I’m gone you put on weight. Look at you. You’re so fat.”
Then the man said, “You can eat that ungrateful little thing if you want.”
Next the dragon and the man went off to have lunch together but when they got a pie each, the dragon started hiccupping. First out came a hot dog stand. Second came out a baby pig and finally came out an old lady. After that they all laughed and lived happily ever after.

My Awesome Holiday

The best part of my holidays was when I went to Kaiteriteri with Kim and Daniel. We stayed there for two nights. We left on Friday and when we saw our cabin we jumped on the beds.When we first got there we played on a big flying fox. When it was my turn I slipped. I was holding on as hard as I could but when I got to the end I got up and jumped up and down. Daniel laughed me. After that we got an ice cream and went to the beach. We made eight sand castles. The second day I was there we played mini-golf. Kim came first Daniel came second and I came third by two shots. I hope I can go back in the next holidays.
